Medical Assistant – Outpatient Clinic

The Medical Assistant – Outpatient Clinic role is onsite in Berea, KY; pay is $24 per hour. The five-week assignment may be extended and follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with specified daily hours. The role supports front- and back-office operations in an outpatient healthcare setting. The assistant helps patients move through clinic visits while supporting clinical procedures and administrative workflow. Accurate documentation, patient communication, and coordination with providers and staff contribute to efficient, safe care for patients ages two and older.

What you'll do

• Greet, check in, room, and prepare patients
• schedule appointments and assist with communications
• answer and direct calls
• obtain and document vital signs and medical information
• perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
• assist with laboratory procedures and specimen collection
• administer vaccines under established protocols
• perform point-of-care testing and assist with EKGs as needed
• maintain electronic medical records
• support fee collection
• follow privacy, safety, and infection-control requirements.
