Prototype Install Mechanic

The Prototype Install Mechanic role is onsite in Chandler, AZ. Pay is $22.00–$23.00 per hour. Horsepower Automotive Group’s Prototype Install & Test Fit team supports product testing and development for its off-road and overlanding brands. The mechanic test-fits and installs prototype accessories on vehicles, checks fit and function, and reports potential product improvements. The work helps engineering and product teams evaluate products and prepare them for production and launch.

What you'll do

• Test-fit prototype products and verify fit, function, and compatibility with factory vehicle features
• install aftermarket accessories including bumpers, LED lighting, intercoolers, and winches
• perform basic 12V wiring
• identify and report fitment, quality, manufacturing, and production-readiness improvements
• assist with quality-control inspections, installation guides, and 3D scanning
• assemble finished goods as needed
• collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
