What you'll do

• Review requisitions and release purchase orders
• maintain branch and distribution-center inventory levels in line with customer demand and inventory-turnover objectives
• maintain purchasing data including price, landed cost, lead time, order quantity, and product description
• assist with product-line and SKU inventory strategy
• expedite deliveries and maintain credible purchase-order delivery information
• negotiate supplier costs
• evaluate potential suppliers and recommend sources
• monitor purchasing and inventory metrics and industry trends.

Why this role

Requires three years of purchasing experience and Microsoft Office 365, including Excel. Distribution experience, product knowledge, Epicor Eclipse or Gains SCP experience, and international freight and import-compliance knowledge are preferred.
