Childcare Teacher

The Childcare Teacher role is onsite in Boston, MA. Compensation is $23.16–$26 per hour. The teacher supports Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Boston’s childcare program and its mission, modeling the organization’s values while caring for children. The role plans and implements a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom experience and assesses children’s progress. Through supervision, curriculum activities, and communication with families and colleagues, the teacher supports children’s learning, health, and development.

What you'll do

• Contribute to children’s learning, growth, and development
• supervise children indoors and outdoors and address safety hazards
• observe and assess progress and maintain portfolios
• follow health, safety, and housekeeping procedures
• provide child guidance and behavior management
• participate in curriculum planning and prepare materials
• document attendance, food-program participation, and incidents
• build respectful relationships with families and colleagues
• complete required professional development and maintain confidentiality.
