The Water Treatment Plant Operator D role is onsite in Odessa, TX, with compensation of $20.37–$25.50 per hour. The position supports the City of Odessa Utilities water treatment plant. Under close supervision, this operator assists with water treatment and distribution operations, monitoring equipment and processes, collecting samples, recording readings, and performing minor preventive maintenance to support safe, reliable plant operations.

What you'll do

• Assist with water treatment and distribution facility operations
• collect water-treatment samples and meter readings
• observe and monitor equipment
• learn to operate pumps, compressors, valves, and related equipment
• record readings and report anomalies
• maintain work areas and equipment
• perform minor preventive maintenance and follow safety procedures.
