Warehouse and Transportation Manager

Job overview

The Warehouse and Transportation Manager role is onsite in Madison Heights, Michigan, with a base salary of $60,000–$90,000 per year; the posting notes flexibility up to $100,000 for an exceptional candidate and an annual bonus of up to 10% of base salary. The manager reports to the Head of Operations and joins the Site Leadership Team for a growing US operation serving a global engineered-products business. This hands-on leader owns the warehouse and transportation function end to end, improving inventory accuracy, shipment performance, safety, and cost control. The role builds team capability and operating standards while using warehouse and transportation systems and KPI reporting to support the site’s growth and global operating expectations.

What you'll do

• Lead receiving, inspection, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
• improve operating standards, accuracy, productivity, and workflows
• own inventory control, cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution
• plan inbound and outbound transportation
• optimize routes, loads, carriers, and costs
• manage carrier and third-party logistics relationships
• monitor on-time-in-full delivery
• maintain safety and compliance
• develop the team
• operate TMS/WMS and shipping platforms and report KPIs.
