Primary Therapist (Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders)

The Primary Therapist role is onsite in Overland Park, KS. Compensation is $55,000–$85,000 per year. The therapist supports patients recovering from substance use and co-occurring disorders. The role provides counseling, assessment, and individualized treatment planning to support clients’ recovery and behavioral health needs. It coordinates with nursing, operations, and clinical leadership to monitor progress and maintain appropriate care.

What you'll do

• Develop person-centered treatment plans with measurable goals and conduct follow-up therapy sessions.
• Complete initial and ongoing assessments and treatment-plan reviews.
• Provide individual interventions, monitor and document client responses, and coordinate with nursing, operations, the Clinical Director, and Utilization Review.
• Contribute to quality assurance activities, in-service education, monthly reporting, and suicide detection and prevention.

Why this role

Requires a relevant state mental-health license or certification, or eligibility as specified in the posting; a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field; and BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire. Two years of mental-health experience is preferred.
