The Senior Security Engineer, GRC Frameworks & AI Governance role is onsite in Washington, DC. The stated salary range is $152,000–$258,000 per year. SpaceXSI is building a superintelligence stack spanning computing infrastructure, models, and applications, with a stated mission to help humanity understand the universe. The engineer owns and scales security and AI governance compliance by translating framework requirements into technical controls and continuous assurance. The role partners with engineering, legal, product, and leadership to keep AI systems audit-ready while enabling teams to deliver products safely.

What you'll do

• Implement and audit security compliance across SOC 2, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and the EU AI Act
• build compliance-as-code, policy-as-code, automated control validation, evidence pipelines, and monitoring
• operate and extend GRC platforms
• embed compliance requirements in design reviews
• maintain policies, standards, and procedures
• assess AI/ML, cybersecurity, regulatory, privacy, intellectual property, and cloud risks
• lead reviews for products, model deployments, features, and architecture changes
• coordinate with external auditors, assessors, and regulators
• educate teams on security and compliance.
