The Child Watch Staff role is onsite in East Boston, MA. Pay is $17 per hour. The YMCA of Greater Boston supports community well-being and provides a supervised space for children while parents participate in Healthy Living activities. The staff member supervises children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, facilitates play and activities, and maintains a safe, welcoming environment. The role contributes to children’s growth and well-being while reflecting YMCA values in interactions with children, parents, and members.

What you'll do

• Supervise children and never leave them unattended
• provide a fun, safe, and stimulating atmosphere
• facilitate play and activities
• prioritize children’s physical safety and emotional well-being
• learn emergency procedures and locate first-aid equipment
• keep the room free of choking hazards, inspect for hazards, and clean and vacuum before closing
• attend staff meetings.
