Junior GIS Analyst

The Junior GIS Analyst role is onsite in Grand Junction, Colorado. Compensation is $65,000–$69,000 per year. The role supports the Department of Energy’s Office of Legacy Management programs through geospatial products, data management, and data quality assurance.

What you'll do

• Design and produce maps, figures, web maps, and 3D visualizations
• compile, digitize, georeference, and integrate spatial datasets
• perform basic spatial analysis and data modeling
• assist with geospatial databases and geodatabases
• conduct QA/QC reviews of internal and field-collected data
• process GPS and spatial data and provide updated field maps and technical support
• test GIS tools, web mapping applications, and workflows
• coordinate with project leads, team members, and clients to gather requirements and implement revisions. Travel is required 5% of the time.
