Medical Billing Specialist

The role performs accounts receivable functions for the Central Billing Office, resolving claims issues and supporting accurate patient account management. It contributes to the billing operation by following up on claims, coordinating documentation, communicating with insurers, and reporting status to management.

What you'll do

• Investigate and resolve denied claims
• manage claims across aging buckets, including posting and appeals
• review delinquent accounts and pursue collections as needed
• document follow-through
• coordinate medical records for appeals
• communicate patient and billing information to insurance carriers
• prepare weekly status reports
• assist with insurance claims, patient payments, and patient statements.
