The Part Time Quality Control Lab Technologist is an onsite role based in Nashville, TN. This position supports the American Red Cross by performing manufacturing, processing, and testing procedures on blood products to ensure they meet quality standards before release to hospitals. The role exists to maintain high-quality standards in a regulated environment, ensuring that pathogen-reduced platelet products and other blood components are safe for patient use. It contributes to the organization's mission by providing reliable laboratory support and maintaining accurate inventory records.

What you'll do

• Perform laboratory testing on donor specimens and blood products
• interpret test results
• quarantine non-conforming products
• meet production and testing goals
• perform quality control on equipment and reagents
• maintain inventory records
• participate in troubleshooting activities.
