What you'll do

• Verify test requisitions against nursing station logs and report discrepancies
• transport specimens safely and track mileage as instructed
• verify patient identity with nursing staff
• collect blood through venipuncture
• maintain specimen integrity using aseptic and isolation procedures
• label and record collection details
• follow safety and legal requirements
• enter sample information into the laboratory information system.
