The Machinist role is an onsite, full-time position in Girard, OH, paying $20–$25 per hour. Altronic manufactures ignition and control systems for industrial engines, with products designed to improve engine performance and reliability. The machinist sets up and operates manual and CNC machine tools to produce precision parts to engineering specifications. The role contributes to shop productivity and quality through blueprint interpretation, tooling selection, inspection, production documentation, and routine machine care.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate manual and/or CNC lathes, mills, and drill presses
• interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T callouts, and work orders
• select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices
• set machine parameters
• inspect parts with precision measuring instruments
• correct out-of-tolerance conditions
• complete production documentation
• perform routine machine maintenance
• maintain a safe, organized work area
• assist in training Machine Operators.
