The Toddler Teacher role is onsite in Glen Allen, VA. Pay is $16.05–$19.05 per hour. The position supports Cadence Education’s classroom programs and its stated aim of shaping bright futures for children, families, and teams. Under the School Director and Lead Teacher, the teacher supports daily classroom operations and developmentally appropriate curriculum. The role helps provide a safe, nurturing environment for toddlers’ physical, social, emotional, developmental, and behavioral needs while building positive relationships with children and families.

What you'll do

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom
• greet children and families
• respond to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavioral support plans as directed
• assist the Lead Teacher with curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs
• communicate with families and coworkers using approved tools
• follow safety and supervision procedures and document incidents
• participate in required meetings, training, and professional development. Schedules and start and end times may vary, and required meetings or training may occur outside scheduled work hours.

Why this role

Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred but not required if state licensing requirements are met; CDA is preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied.
