Primary Therapist – Residential Mental Health Treatment

The Primary Therapist – Residential Mental Health Treatment is an onsite, full-time position in Vienna, VA, with a Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule; on-call may be required, including some weekends and after-hours crisis calls. Pay is $80,000–$114,000 per year. The therapist supports clients receiving residential mental health treatment. The role assesses clients, develops person-centered treatment plans, and provides individual, group, and family therapy to guide care throughout their stay. Clinical documentation, coordination, and support for provisional clinicians help maintain quality and continuity of treatment.

What you'll do

• Conduct clinical evaluations, biopsychosocial assessments, diagnoses, and interpretive summaries
• prepare treatment plans and provide case management, consultation, education, referrals, and therapeutic interventions
• facilitate individual and group therapy
• review and sign clinical documentation as assigned
• support practicum students
• maintain electronic health records
• prepare insurance utilization review materials
• provide crisis services during work hours and after hours as assigned
• attend meetings, supervision, and training.
