Credit and Collections Manager

The Credit and Collections Manager role is onsite at Chaney Enterprises’ headquarters in Annapolis, MD. Compensation is $115,000–$125,000 per year. The position leads the Credit Department and works with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, and Billing. The manager evaluates customer creditworthiness and oversees credit operations and collections to reduce accounts receivable and bad-debt exposure. The role sets credit terms and limits, manages collection strategies and risk, resolves account issues, and supervises and develops department staff.

What you'll do

• Manage customer credit accounts and review payment history, account status, and creditworthiness
• evaluate credit applications and issue approvals or denials
• set credit limits and payment terms
• enforce service holds, COD requirements, or account closures
• monitor exposure and payment trends
• prepare accounts receivable aging reports
• oversee collection strategy and goals
• resolve billing and payment issues
• coordinate with legal counsel on delinquent or disputed accounts and collection remedies
• train and supervise Credit Department employees.
