Plant Health Care Technician

Job overview

The Plant Health Care Technician role is onsite in Pittsford, NY. Compensation is $24–$32 per hour, depending on experience. The position supports Monster Tree Service of Rochester’s tree and shrub care work for clients. The technician monitors and evaluates plant health and provides treatments to address insects, disease, and other issues. The role also supports tree crew operations, customer communication, and accurate treatment records to help maintain the health of client properties.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and treat trees and shrubs for insects, disease, and other health issues
• operate and maintain treatment equipment
• safely mix, handle, and store materials
• maintain records according to company standards and state regulations
• work with the tree crew on ground and utility functions
• communicate with customers, the manager, and sales arborist
• inspect plant material and identify additional issues that may present upsell opportunities.
