Job overview

The Healthcare Cook role is onsite in Downers Grove, IL, with compensation of $18–$21 per hour. The Cook supports the facility’s Dietary Department, helping provide meals for residents. The role prepares and portions menu items according to recipes and production counts, serves meals on schedule, and maintains food safety, sanitation, and inventory practices. When the Dietary Manager is absent, the Cook also oversees and supports staff.

What you'll do

• Prepare and portion hot and cold menu items according to recipes and production counts
• serve resident meals at scheduled times
• record food and equipment temperatures
• maintain sanitation and a safe work area
• track inventory and communicate low supplies
• label, wrap, and date unused food
• support facility policies. In the Dietary Manager’s absence, oversee staff, conduct huddles, and address work assignments.
