Construction Field Technician

Job overview

The Construction Field Technician role is onsite in Meridian, ID. Compensation is $16.50–$24 per hour, with pay depending on certifications and experience. GeoTek provides geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, special inspections, and environmental consulting. The technician performs field testing, project observations, and site assessments, operating equipment, collecting samples, conducting tests, and reporting results to support construction projects and client requirements.

What you'll do

• Perform assigned tests, inspections, observations, and site assessments
• operate equipment and collect samples
• prepare daily and data reports
• communicate with supervisors and dispatch about assignments
• submit project documents and timesheets
• obtain client authorization when required
• advise supervisors or project managers of scope changes or potential budget overruns
• maintain positive working relationships with clients and project partners.
