The Maintenance Technician – 2nd & 3rd Shift works onsite in the Bartlett, IL area. Compensation is $28–$40 per hour. TekPro Engineering is recruiting for established manufacturing companies in the Elgin and Bartlett areas; the opportunities are full-time, direct-hire roles supporting production operations. The technician diagnoses and repairs production and packaging equipment to help keep manufacturing running efficiently. The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoots mechanical and electrical systems, and works with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production and manufacturing equipment
• maintain automated machinery, packaging equipment, conveyors, motors, and facility systems
• troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures
• work with motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, and conveyors
• assist with PLC-controlled machinery troubleshooting
• read schematics and drawings
• perform changeovers, adjustments, repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance
• and follow plant safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
