Groundperson – Utility Line Clearance

The groundperson supports tree workers and other crew members during utility line-clearance work by supplying tools, managing ropes and brush, helping control traffic, and cleaning job sites. This work helps crews complete utility tree-care assignments safely and efficiently.

What you'll do

• Support crew members by controlling lowering ropes, limbs, and persons from aloft
• supply tools to tree workers
• control road and sidewalk traffic using warning devices and other methods
• cut, chip, and load brush and wood
• clean job sites.

Why this role

Driver’s license required; commercial driver’s license preferred and may be required depending on job requirements. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Line-clearance certification may be needed when working near utility transmission lines; ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain is noted. Travel expectations are up to 25%.
