Sterile Processing Technician

The Sterile Processing Technician role is an onsite, 13-week contract assignment in Columbus, OH, with traveler pay of $1,100–$1,200 per week; local candidates are offered $24–$27 per hour. The technician supports operations at a high-volume Level I Trauma Center. The role ensures surgical instruments and equipment are decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, tracked, and available for clinical teams. Accurate processing and coordination with operating room staff support timely procedures and infection-prevention standards.

What you'll do

• Decontaminate surgical instruments and medical equipment
• assemble instrument sets
• perform Sterrad and steam sterilization
• conduct high-level disinfection and process scopes
• maintain sterile storage and inventory
• provide operating room liaison support
• use CensiTrac for tracking and documentation
• float to other assigned healthcare facilities as needed.
