Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant role is onsite in Albany, NY. Pay is $25 per hour. The position supports the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY’s Finance Department. The accountant assists with grants, credit cards, account reconciliations, and month-end close. The work helps maintain accurate financial records, track grant spending, and support compliance and audit activities.

What you'll do

• Process grant payment requests, invoices, and drawdowns
• track award spending and salary allocations
• monitor custodial accounts and report unused or expiring funds
• reconcile weekly credit card transactions
• assist with monthly reconciliations, month-end close, and year-end audit
• maintain confidential information.
