Senior Metal Fabricator

Job overview

The Senior Metal Fabricator role is onsite in Colusa, CA, and pays $30–$40 per hour. The fabricator builds and inspects complex metal assemblies to project specifications, using fabrication, welding, and precision measurement skills. The senior role also provides technical guidance to journeyman and apprentice fabricators and helps maintain safe, effective equipment use.

What you'll do

• Plan layouts and fabrication methods
• work with metal alloys
• assemble components to specifications
• interpret drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
• perform TIG and MIG welding
• operate and maintain fabrication equipment
• inspect welds and finished assemblies
• identify production issues
• guide and train other fabricators.
