What you'll do

• Take medical histories and vital signs
• explain procedures and prepare patients for examinations
• assist providers
• document patient encounters
• track communications about labs, calls, and refills
• coordinate with internal and external parties
• support patient teaching and care plans
• maintain supplies and instruments
• follow infection-control practices and HIPAA requirements
• participate in quality-improvement activities.
