Job overview
Quality Inspector (2nd Shift), onsite, Aurora, CO. Salary range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00 per year. Leidos is a technology leader serving government and commercial customers. This role exists to ensure machined components and assemblies meet strict quality standards in accordance with drawings, specifications, and procedures, directly impacting the performance and reliability of mission-critical hypersonic defense systems.
What you'll do
- Inspect machined components and assemblies.
- Identify and document nonconformance and support root cause analysis investigations.
- Read, interpret, and understand technical documents (drawings, specifications, test procedures, etc.).
- Create and compile acceptance data packages for customer approval of build assets.
- Prepare and maintain AS9102 reports, inspection records, quality documentation, and discrepancy reports.
- Operate standard inspection and measuring equipment, CMMs, and GOM Scanning Equipment against tight tolerances utilizing GD&T and embedded model dimensioning.
- Participate in, and provide necessary support of corrective actions, documentation control, calibration, and receiving inspection.
What we're looking for

- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience
- High School diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant Quality Inspection experience required. Knowledge and understanding of how to read and interpret drawings. Knowledge and understanding of how to efficiently use micrometers, height gages, gage blocks, radius gages, calipers and other measuring equipment typical to a manufacturing environment. Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment. Ability to populate handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports. Practical computer skills and experience using software such as Microsoft Office. Ability to work full-time with minimal supervision and the ability to adjust priorities based on workflow. Willingness to travel to customer sites to perform quality inspections, as necessary. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
