Carpenter Helper – Historic Restoration

Job overview

The Carpenter Helper – Historic Restoration role is onsite, with primary projects in Baltimore, MD, and additional work throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region. Pay is $20 per hour. Worcester Eisenbrandt Construction works on historic restoration and preservation projects. The helper supports experienced carpenters and other tradespeople with restoration, repair, and installation work. By preparing materials and work areas, handling tools and equipment, and assisting with historic woodwork and related construction tasks, the role contributes to project completion and preservation.

What you'll do

• Assist with restoration, repair, and installation of historic woodwork and architectural elements
• transport tools and materials
• measure, mark, and prepare materials
• assist with windows, doors, frames, weatherstripping, and hardware
• clean work areas
• use hand and power tools safely
• help erect and dismantle scaffolding and ladders
• support concrete, masonry, plaster, demolition, and site cleanup
• follow safety policies and wear required PPE.
