Assistant Packaging Manager – Brewery Operations

The Assistant Packaging Manager – Brewery Operations role is onsite in Boston, Massachusetts. Compensation is $60,000–$80,000 per year. The role provides hands-on leadership for Barrel One Collective’s Boston brewery packaging operations, supporting craft beverage production. The assistant manager leads assigned shifts, coordinates packaging workflow, and helps ensure production, quality, equipment, and safety goals are met. The role also develops employees and improves procedures in partnership with the Packaging Manager.

What you'll do

• Lead assigned packaging shifts and oversee workflow when the Packaging Manager is unavailable
• assign work, train employees, and provide performance feedback
• direct canning, kegging, racking, filling, and packing operations
• coordinate product flow with warehouse and distribution teams
• maintain quality documentation and production data
• troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on packaging equipment
• reinforce safety, sanitation, and lockout/tagout procedures
• develop and review packaging SOPs.
