The Mechanical Project Engineer role is onsite in Concord, CA, with a stated annual salary range of $85,000–$140,000. The engineer leads or contributes to building-systems projects from design concept through construction, balancing technical quality, project delivery, and client needs. The role coordinates with multidisciplinary teams and supports reliable, code-compliant mechanical systems for complex facilities.

What you'll do

• Lead or contribute to mechanical engineering design for renovations, tenant fit-outs, and new construction
• manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations across projects
• conduct field investigations, facility assessments, and building systems surveys
• develop HVAC designs, calculations, equipment sizing, system selection, and energy-efficient solutions
• prepare and review calculations, specifications, narratives, reports, drawings, and construction documents
• coordinate with project stakeholders
• participate in client and construction meetings
• support construction administration, submittal reviews, RFIs, site observations, field reports, and closeout
• ensure code and standards compliance
• mentor junior engineers and designers.
