The Assistant Teacher — Preschool Room role is onsite in Brainerd, MN. Pay is $15–$16 per hour. The position supports Kids Crest Childcare & Learning Center at Pinecrest of Country Manor, where children can participate in intergenerational activities and campus events. The assistant teacher helps create a safe, nurturing, engaging preschool classroom and supports children’s learning and development. Working with lead teachers, the role guides age-appropriate activities and helps children build skills and confidence for future success.

What you'll do

• Build relationships with students, parents, and teachers
• assist the lead teacher with daily art, science, music, and movement activities
• create and lead a supportive learning environment
• help children interact with the world around them
• participate in campus events
• oversee classroom activities including experiments, cooking, games, crafts, dance, and recreational play.

Why this role

Requires age 18 or older, at least one year of child care center experience, and one year of full-time college credits in education or a related field or current progress toward an education degree. Must meet Minnesota Rule 3 assistant teacher requirements and be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified. Full-time Monday–Friday position with varied hours; no weekends or major holidays.
