The Direct Support Professional role is an onsite, part-time position in Brooklyn, CT, scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with Saturday and Sunday off. Pay is $18.46 per hour. Whole Life is a Connecticut nonprofit supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through person-centered programs. The professional provides individualized daily support that promotes clients’ safety, independence, community participation, and personal goals while coordinating with families, managers, and providers.

What you'll do

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation
• administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support medical appointments
• maintain a safe living environment
• engage clients in social activities and community outings
• use mobility equipment such as Hoyer lifts
• document activities and incidents
• maintain HIPAA confidentiality
• and implement individualized care plans.
