Direct Service Provider (Companion)

Job overview

The Direct Service Provider (Companion) role is in person in Vero Beach, FL, with pay of $18 per hour and approximately 15–20 hours per week. The usual schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 4:00–7:00 PM or 7:30 PM; Sunday is optional based on availability and client needs. The role provides personalized support to a client with autism in home and community settings. The provider supports the client’s health, safety, independence, and quality of life through person-centered assistance. The work includes daily living support, community activities, meal preparation, medication reminders as permitted, and accurate service documentation.

What you'll do

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or safety
• support community outings and activities
• prepare meals and snacks based on dietary needs and preferences
• provide medication reminders and support self-administration as permitted by the care plan and agency policy
• perform light housekeeping and sanitation
• document services and progress
• follow safety, CPR/First Aid, and incident-reporting procedures.
