The Fabrication Welder role is an onsite, full-time position in Brookville, OH. Compensation is not specified. Panelmatic designs and builds custom electrical, instrument, and pneumatic control panels and related packages. The welder fabricates sheet-metal parts and assemblies to dimensional requirements, using shop prints and engineered drawings to prepare, weld, inspect, and finish components. This work supports Panelmatic’s production of custom control packages and enclosures.

What you'll do

• Read shop prints and engineered drawings to determine weld locations and specifications
• MIG weld mild and stainless steel
• create basic fittings
• adjust welding equipment
• grind and finish material
• perform layouts, cope and fit, tack and stud welds, and torch cutting
• inspect weld beads and parts
• repair improper welds
• maintain dimensions and alignment
• notify the lead or inspector when products are ready
• keep the work area clean and safe.
