Therapist — Addiction and Mental Health

Job overview

The Therapist role is onsite in Waelder, TX, with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Compensation is not specified. Banyan Treatment Centers provides addiction and mental health care through a continuum of services. The therapist assesses patients, develops collaborative treatment plans, leads individual and group sessions, and coordinates recovery resources and discharge planning. The role contributes to patient recovery while maintaining accurate, confidential records and responding to clinical needs, including crisis situations.

What you'll do

• Conduct ASAM and biopsychosocial assessments
• identify treatment needs and develop measurable plans with patients
• document and update clinical records
• communicate with referral sources and families
• lead individual and group sessions and treatment reviews
• coordinate resources and post-discharge plans
• conduct risk assessments and de-escalation in crises
• and adapt therapeutic approaches to patient needs.

Why this role

Requires an associate degree or higher and a fully licensed Texas LCDC or higher. Texas LPC-A, LPC, LPC-S, LCSW, LMSW, or LMFT credentials are preferred. Eligible direct-care team members may qualify for STAR-LRP loan repayment assistance.
