What you'll do

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures using Doppler, transthoracic, and specialized sonographic techniques
• select transducers and adjust equipment controls
• prepare preliminary reports and diagnostic impressions
• assist physicians with ultrasound-guided biopsies, invasive cardiac procedures, and contrast administration
• explain procedures to patients
• enter clinical data into electronic records
• calibrate and maintain equipment
• support patient transport, infection control, and staff mentoring.
