What you'll do

• Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.
• Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed.
• Performs procedures and assesses patients throughout and responds to patient needs as appropriate.
• Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed.
• Performs all computer and PACS functions Observes safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staff.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Universal protocols.
• Uses professional judgment and critical thinking when performing procedures.
• Participates in orientation and training of new staff members and instructs students during their clinical rotations.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of the scanners and exam protocols in order to ensure the highest quality procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
