Job overview
The Catering Captain position is onsite in Chicago, IL, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $24.00 per hour. The role supports catering functions at the Reed Smith location. The captain coordinates staff and event logistics while preparing and serving food, helping ensure functions are delivered, served, and cleared on time and that guests receive responsive service.
What you'll do
- Determine staffing workload from catering orders
- coordinate setup with function leaders and address changes
- respond to customer concerns
- understand menu items
- instruct staff and assist with room setup
- assemble and deliver food and supplies
- serve guests
- return equipment and utensils
- maintain presentation, portion control, serving temperatures, sanitation, and orderliness
- follow recipes and production standards.
