Lead Accountant

Job overview

The Lead Accountant role is onsite in Orange, CA, with compensation of $90,000–$115,000 per year. The position supports Acuity Eye Group’s accounting function. The accountant manages assigned accounting work and helps ensure accurate, timely monthly close results. The role analyzes and reconciles accounts, records journal entries, investigates expense variances, prepares audit and tax schedules, and contributes to system enhancements and process improvements.

What you'll do

• Analyze general-ledger transactions in NetSuite
• prepare and analyze account reconciliations
• record recurring, accrual, reclassification, and adjusting journal entries
• analyze general and administrative expense variances
• coordinate journal requests with Accounts Payable, operating divisions, Finance, and management
• prepare audit workpapers and schedules for interim, fiscal year-end, and calendar year-end tax work
• contribute to system enhancement, process improvement, and special projects.

Why this role
