The Poultry Care Attendant I role is onsite in Clarence, New York. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour. The position supports Kreher Family Farms’ care of pullets and laying hens in a cage system. Working under supervision, the attendant learns and follows established poultry-care procedures to support bird health and daily farm operations. The role includes routine care, monitoring barn conditions, maintaining records, and assisting with bird moves and related tasks.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily hen care
• maintain drinkers and feed augers
• check lights and barn heat and humidity
• clear egg backups when necessary
• handle birds safely
• remove mortality and transport it to designated disposal areas
• maintain mortality and chore-check records
• report feed outages and equipment repairs
• assist with bird moves
• contact supervisors about system or maintenance needs.
