The auditor monitors affordable housing projects for compliance with Section 42, state requirements, and applicable housing programs. The role reviews tenant files and financial records, conducts property inspections, documents findings, and works with owners and management agents to resolve deficiencies.

What you'll do

• Coordinate monthly inspection schedules
• review tenant files, Land Use Restrictive Agreements, rent rolls, ledgers, fees, and utility allowances
• conduct physical property inspections under NSPIRE
• document findings and track corrections
• support IRS Form 8823 issuance and resolution when applicable
• monitor quarterly tenant and financial reporting
• review annual compliance reports
• maintain project and ownership records
• provide technical guidance and contribute to compliance procedures and training materials.
