The Tool and Die Maker Apprentice role is onsite in Ormond Beach, FL. Pay is $22–$26 per hour. PrecisionX Group manufactures precision metal components for industries including aerospace and defense, medical devices, satellite and space, electric vehicles, mining, and semiconductors. Through a structured four-year apprenticeship, the apprentice develops hands-on skills in machining, tooling assembly, and troubleshooting. The work supports the maintenance and repair of tooling used in manufacturing operations.

What you'll do

• Complete the apprenticeship, including at least 600 hours of classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of on-the-job training
• interpret drawings
• set up and operate machine tools
• use precision measuring and gauging tools
• fit and assemble tooling, dies, and fixtures
• perform heat treating as required
• troubleshoot die problems
• maintain an orderly work area and follow plant safety procedures
• communicate safety, quality, delivery, and productivity issues.

Why this role

High school diploma or equivalent and technical experience are required. Deep-draw and progressive-tooling experience is preferred but not required. First-shift openings are Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; second-shift hours are to be determined and are evening hours. Overtime eligible.
