The Chemical Plant Refrigeration Mechanic works onsite in Rancho Cordova, CA, with pay of $52.10–$76.64 per hour. The role supports refrigeration and air-conditioning systems in fine chemical and pharmaceutical production plants, pilot plants, and laboratories at AMPAC Fine Chemicals’ facility. The mechanic installs, services, overhauls, and maintains HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including associated controls and instrumentation. This maintenance work helps keep plant systems operating efficiently and supports production operations; the position is at one location and does not require travel.

What you'll do

• Install, overhaul, service, and maintain air-conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment. Maintain humidity-control equipment
• troubleshoot and make incidental repairs to associated electrical and instrumentation equipment. Repair or replace control components and energy-saving devices, inspect and adjust equipment, install and repair insulation, and maintain a clean work area. Enter work orders and use parts information, manuals, and training resources. May assist other crafts under the primary craft’s direction.
