The Commercial Diver, Underwater Ship Husbandry role is onsite at Phoenix International Holdings’ Southeast Florida facility in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pay is $36–$40 per hour. The position reports to the Commercial Underwater Ship Husbandry Program Manager and supports underwater ship operations. The diver performs ship-hull and propeller cleaning, underwater surveys, repairs, thruster exchanges, and welding tasks. Safe diving practices, equipment readiness, regulatory compliance, and accurate dive records support reliable operations.

What you'll do

• Complete assigned diving tasks
• follow quality procedures and applicable diving regulations
• maintain, prepare, and test personal diving equipment
• report equipment defects and relevant medical issues
• follow safe diving practices
• maintain a diver’s logbook and current medical certificates
• maintain First Aid and CPR certification
• complete administrative duties as assigned.

Why this role
