Instructional Aide - Special Education - Day Shift

The Instructional Aide is an onsite role based in San Jose, CA, with a pay range of $22 - $27/hour. This position supports the Spectrum Center Schools and Programs team in their mission to provide special education for K-12 students. This role exists to provide personalized support and guidance to students, assisting classroom teachers with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEP). The aide helps tailor instruction to unique learning needs, monitors student progress, and manages behavior to foster a safe and high-achieving learning environment.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with teachers to support a welcoming learning environment
• implement individualized instruction and behavioral interventions
• monitor students during lessons
• track student progress
• manage student behavior
• mentor students in academic and social skills
• maintain accurate documentation of student performance
• communicate with families and staff
• participate in accreditation activities.
