Job overview
The Fermentation Technician I role is onsite in Huntington Beach, CA. Pay is $24–$27 per hour. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 p.m.–3:30 a.m. The technician supports day-to-day fermentation operations and R&D and production sample processing.
What you'll do
- Prepare, inoculate, operate, sample, monitor, harvest, and clean bench-scale fermenters
- monitor pH, dissolved oxygen, and feed additions
- maintain batch, fermentation, and maintenance records
- manage laboratory inventory and prepare materials
- label, track, prepare, and analyze samples
- follow SOPs, safety, GMP, and quality procedures
- identify deviations
- troubleshoot equipment and perform approved routine maintenance
- calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments
- support scientists and engineers with experiments and data collection.
