What you'll do
- Operate and monitor diesel generation systems and utility equipment
- perform dispatching, switching, and system operating functions
- troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and maintain generation and low-voltage equipment
- conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, testing, and operational checks
- record performance and maintenance data
- read meters and manage fuel inventories
- assist with facility and grounds maintenance
- support line crews with low-voltage utility components
- participate in scheduled on-call rotations and respond to outages and emergencies
- maintain inventory, tools, equipment, and fleet inspections
- mentor apprentices as assigned
- travel occasionally for projects and emergency response.
