What you'll do

• Build, repair, and maintain dies, fixtures, and tooling
• analyze specifications and plan machining sequences from blueprints and models
• set up and operate conventional or CNC machine tools
• fit and assemble parts
• conduct test runs and adjust tools as needed
• inspect finished dies and verify dimensions and clearances
• select metals and alloys
• design jigs, fixtures, and templates
• follow safety procedures and support a safe work environment
• train and develop apprentices.
