Director of Golf

Job overview

The Director of Golf role is onsite in Williamsburg, VA, with annual compensation of $95,000–$105,000 plus potential performance bonus. Ford’s Colony Country Club operates three championship courses totaling 54 holes and supports approximately 80,000 rounds annually. The Director leads daily golf operations, staff development, tournament and outing business, merchandise, and member engagement. The role also partners with club department heads and contributes to the club’s ongoing long-range planning.

What you'll do

• Lead golf operations across three courses
• coach and develop a golf department staff of more than 40
• drive tournament, outing, and corporate event business
• oversee tee sheets, pace of play, and outside-play yield strategy
• manage golf shop merchandising, inventory, and financials
• develop member programming and player-development initiatives
• oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• administer the Rules of Golf
• coordinate golf-car fleet operations
• partner with department heads and contribute to long-range planning.
