Import Agent II

The Import Agent II role is onsite in Peabody, MA. Compensation is $26–$31.50 per hour. The role supports OCEANAIR’s international freight forwarding and logistics operations. The agent manages import shipments from origin through final delivery, coordinating customers, overseas partners, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams. Accurate documentation, shipment monitoring, issue resolution, and billing help ensure compliant, timely delivery and customer service.

What you'll do

• Coordinate international air, ocean, and other import shipments from booking through delivery
• serve as a contact for customers, overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, and vendors
• prepare and maintain import and customs documentation
• obtain cargo releases, arrival notices, and charges
• monitor shipment progress, deadlines, regulations, and expectations
• resolve delays, discrepancies, damages, and service issues
• support billing, vendor payments, and profitability review
• maintain shipment files in CargoWise and other systems
• share knowledge and support process improvements.

Why this role

Full-time, 100% in office. Weekend or holiday coverage may be required on a departmental rotation. Three to five years of freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or related experience; independent air and ocean import handling experience required. CargoWise experience strongly preferred. Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
